Fix laptop computer not connecting to Android mobile hotspot

Method 1: Connect a different device to your hotspot and see if it helps.

Check Other Devices Connected to Your Android Hotspot (Method #2)

Are there any other devices attempting to connect to your mobile hotspot? If this is the case, it could be the cause of your laptop computer’s inability to connect to the mobile network. Check the connectivity of your hotspot and see if there are any devices that you don’t want to connect to it. When you enable your Android mobile hotspot, previously connected phones or tablets may reconnect immediately. Remove these devices from your mobile Internet network by selecting them.

Method #3: Restart your devices

  • Turn off your Android phone as well as your laptop.
  • Before turning them back on, wait at least 1 minute.
  • Connect your laptop to your Android mobile hotspot by turning it on.

  • Save your work by pressing the Save button.

Method #6 – Reset your Android Phone’s Network Settings

  • Open your Android smartphone’s Settings menu.
  • Select Network & Internet.
  • Select the three-dot icon.
  • Choose Reset WiFi, mobile, & Bluetooth.
  • Confirm that the reset was successful.
